I have 2 young daughters. So there is always lots of talking in our house, or laughing, sometimes shouting, or screaming, and at least once a day some crying.
This is Madeleine, she’s 3.

Can’t believe these lads did this, unreal. Check it out. 100k an hr on a skateboard. That must just feel like they are flying.

Love the dude in bare feet, classic.

I have often thought how much fun it would be to skate down that hill, I wouldn’t be straight lining it that’s for sure… i’d be happy at 20k.

IRENA

Posted in Uncategorized ·

There recently was a death of a 98 year old lady named Irena. During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the WarsawGhetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.  She had an ‘ulterior motive’…She KNEW what the Nazi’s plans were fore the Jews, (being German.)  Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids..)She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.  The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.  During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.  She was caught, and the Nazi’s broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family.

Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

63 years later

Recently, Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize … She was not selected.

However, Al Gore won, for a dodgy slide show on Global Warming and Barack Obama won for a speech on peace.

Tokujin Yoshioka _ Spectrum

Japanese designer & artist Tokujin Yoshioka exhibited a glass window made of 500 crystal prisms at MUSEUM. beyond museum in Seoul this May.

Light is the most amazing thing, without it there is no colour, no form, no life. Nothing

Tokujin Yoshioka was the guy who created the shop window installation for HERMES. Genius idea.

This would have to be the most beautiful and amazing shop window.

Check out his web site, unreal work.

WELLINGTON – AOTEAROA ‘MY HOME TOWN’

Man… I love coming to Wellington.

I grew up on the other side of the harbour in Eastbourne, went to Art School here, so lots of really good memories.

This morning was one of those Beautiful Wellington mornings, days like today make it one of the best cities in the world.

The fantastic thing about Wellington that other cities in NZ lack, is that this place has soul, it has a heart and an identity.

‘X’ …. MARKS THE SPOT

How is this for an audition room. Big and empty. It makes you even more aware of the fact your standing there alone.

If any of you have been put through an audition process before, you’ll know how intimidating it can be.

If you look hard enough, you’ll see the black tape on the floor.

X marks the spot.
